A better way to build a scholar profile.

One six-month pathway. Every outcome backed by evidence of participation, contribution, or growth.

What MeritForge is

A structured academic profile-development programme.

MeritForge Scholars serves high-school students preparing for international scholarships and university applications. The programme combines competition participation, supervised research contribution, research-ethics training, faculty assessment and a verified digital portfolio into one documented journey.

The final profile shows what the student actually did, how they grew, and who verified it. That is the whole product. Everything else on this site is a description of how that record is kept honest.

The ecosystem

Three parts, one pathway.

MeritForge Scholars sits at the end of a chain that prepares students to compete and teaches them to work with integrity before their work is recognised.

Integrity charter

The rules we will not trade away.

These protect the scholar as much as the organisation. A credential that anyone can buy is worth nothing to the student who earned it.

What we will not do

  • Sell authorshipAuthorship is considered only where a student’s contribution satisfies the project’s authorship criteria — never as a purchasable inclusion.

  • Sell awardsCompetition results are recorded exactly as the competition awarded them.

  • Sell recommendationsA letter is issued where sustained performance gives the recommender a genuine basis to endorse the scholar, and withheld where it does not.

  • Record attendance as contributionBeing present in a project is not a ledger entry. Producing something is.

What we will do

  • Require ethics training firstResearch ethics and academic integrity training is completed before any publication-related recognition.

  • Tie every claim to evidenceEach passport entry names what was produced and who verified it.

  • Record honest outcomesIncluding the ones where a student did not reach authorship or a recommendation.

  • State external costs in advanceCompetition registration and publication fees are named before you commit, not after.

Core promise

Build. Compete. Contribute. Verify.

Recognition follows documented contribution, performance and reviewer judgment. That is the entire basis on which this programme is willing to put its name next to a student’s.

Privacy

Who sees a scholar’s record.

What is held in a Scholar Passport?

Competition entries and results, research contribution entries with dates and supervisor verification, the integrity credential, faculty progress reviews, and links or files making up the project portfolio.

Who controls what is public?

The scholar. Each section carries public or private visibility, and private sections are visible only to reviewers the scholar names. Sharing a scholar ID is a deliberate act.

What do partner schools see?

A cohort coordinator sees progress for students enrolled through that partnership — contribution logged, ethics completed, milestones reviewed. Coordinator access ends with the partnership.

How do I correct or remove a record?

Write to us and name the entry. Corrections are recorded as corrections rather than overwriting the original, so the ledger stays traceable. Removal requests are handled case by case.
